In 1944, 16-year-old Robert Jackson was asked to play the organ for the first time at Stavanger Lutheran Church. He never stopped. For 75 years, through decades of change, his music remained a constant — echoing through weddings, funerals, and every high and low in between. Honored in 2019 at age 91, Robert still returns now and then to play, his presence as steady and heartfelt as his music. To the congregation, he is more than a musician — he is tradition, memory, and the living sound of faith.
